When I came home from church on Sunday, I was pleasantly surprised by Henry and Todd with a beautiful car cake. It was so sweet of them--literally!
It had been a long day of meetings for me while Todd and Henry stayed home sick. Todd asked Henry how they could surprise me when I came home and Henry said, "A cake!"
This boy knows me.
Turns out we didn't have eggs, but they used a banana and the cake turned out to be delicious. Also, all our cake pans were being used for other purposes so they used a bread loaf pan. Talk about resourceful! It's exactly 1/3 the size of a normal cake.
Here you can see it's lovely coat of chocolate "paint", Ritz cracker wheels, and mini paper cups for the headlights.
I loved it.
