Confirmed

I think my mother's intuition has gone down the drain for this one!

For the past 5 months I was sure this baby was a girl. Wishful thinking? I don't think so. I thought a boy would have been awesome, especially when I got the crib looking like it did when Henry was really little. But I just felt it was a girl.

However, about a week ago I had a very vivid dream we had a boy--there was no doubt about it in my dream. But, I woke up sure that the dream was tricking me and it was still a little girl. Then about 5 days ago Henry told us, like a kid does when he knows something and is surprised we don't know it, too, that it was a boy. Then Todd started saying he thinks it's a boy.

Going into the ultra sound I was pretty sure everyone would be proven wrong. The ultrasound tech and her assistant started checking things over and confirmed . . .

it's a boy.

Oh, and it was so wonderful to see the little guy moving and scratching his head; and he has fingers and toes, and kidneys, and a pumping heart! We feel so blessed and are as happy as can be!! I am so excited for Henry to have a little brother. It will be wonderful.

But where has my intuition gone? Oh, I don't know.

Congrats! I must have missed something. I didn't even know you were pregnant. That's so exciting. When are you due then?

I was sure I was having a girl too. I was about 5 weeks just barely pregnant and I was stressing, having had the prior miscarriage I was well freaked out.
So I went down stairs and I said a prayer and the first thing that came to my mind was your grandma Shanley. At that moment I remembered that her birthday was days before my due date. The month I conceived a name kept coming to mind. Just days before I found out I was pregnant I thought of a name it was Heather Viola. So I guess I just assumed it was a girl.
I was wrong it is a boy. About 14 weeks I started thinking of the baby as a boy so that threw me off. And recently even though I know this baby is a boy. was again confirmed in an ultra sound yesterday, I keep thinking of a girl. I think our minds play tricks on us.

I am really excited for you to have a boy. It will be nice that Eli will have a little boy cousin his age to play with.

A pair is so fun!

And I guess I don't have any mother's intuition, because I was at a loss both times as to what it would be. :)
