All about dungeons

A few weeks ago my friend Amber and I took our little ones to a free showing of The Tale of Despereaux. It was a little spooky, especially for little kids, but Henry loved it.
Since then he has talked a lot about "'cary [scary] dungeons", and a mouse and a princess.
He likes to pretend I'm the princess and he's the mouse.
I tell him he's a gentleman mouse but he says, "Nope, I'm just a mouse.
* * *
Well, while playing trains and dinosaurs with him (he was Thomas and I was Charlie) he set up the radio as it if were a movie screen.

"Hey, Charlie, wanna watch a show?"
"Sure, what show?"
"'Cary dungeon show."
"Oooh, okay. Sure, Thomas. I'll get the popcorn."
He set up his dinosaurs and trains all facing the radio and then started to describe to them what was going on in the movie.
"Princess down in dark, 'cary dungeon . . . Deper-o save princess . . . yay! (claps his hands)."

Eventually he sat himself up on the table and watched, too.

Rachel, you have such an imaginative little boy! I love it. And I love that he invited himself to the party. This post made my day!
