Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

For New Year's this year the boys and I, minus Todd, made it to the library to welcome in the new year. The Urbana Library hosted a party for kids starting at 11:30 am and lasting til 12:30 pm. A noon party. They had tables set up for kids to make New Year attire--crowns, blow toys, head bands, etc. They told stories and played music. We all counted down to 12 noon then we all made a ruckus.

It was kinda chaotic to be honest, and Henry seemed a bit overwhelmed. It was a small room filled with more adults than kids, most between the ages 18 months and 2 years. Awesome. We had fun though. Henry looks a little gloomy in most of the pictures; perhaps he was already missing 2010?

We did, however, celebrate in the evening by eating out at Old Chicago--great food and service, by the way--and then partying at our friends, the Diaz'. They have an awesome, old home. It was built over 100 years ago, and it is huge. We danced, ate great food, and mingled. Then we left at 9:30 to put the babes to bed. Sayonara 2010. I wonder what 2011 will bring . . . good things, I'm sure.
