The 4th of July

This 4th we did something new: Our own neighborhood patriotic parade.
We gathered in the morning to decorate our wheels: bikes, wagons, scooters, and strollers. We had patriotic music playing and the kids were so enthusiastic. We paraded around Winfield and then headed over to our elderly neighbors next door. There was a great crowd there to greet us, and cheer for us! It was so fun.

When I woke up Henry had already dressed in his Captain America costume. He was super excited to wear it as he rode his bike motorcycle in the parade. Well, it was a hot day and just as we were rounding the corner to see our elderly friends he couldn't go any farther. He had to take his muscle suit off and rehydrate. So, instead of zooming up as Captain America he slowly pedaled up, sopping with sweat. He was still a hero, and super cute, none the less.

All the beautiful people:

I'm already looking forward to next 4th's parade!
