Halloween

This year the Freestones combined forces and did another family costume.

Unlike last year's costume, the three stooges, this year's was a little more obscure. But it was funny to us. I had great plans for our costume in the beginning, but they didn't work out--stay tuned til next year--and so we made a quick change of mind, inspired by Todd.

Todd was the one and only Bob Wiley. You know, from "What About Bob?"

As a result I was Dr. Leo Marvin. No one recognized me, I mean as Rachel Freestone, and that was the fun part. They didn't quite recognize who I was supposed to be either until they saw the book that Todd or I carried: Baby Steps by Leo Marvin. Then if they had seen the movie and took one look at Todd, they cracked up. He wore his awesome, "Don't Hassle me I'm local" shirt.
Henry was my (Leo's) son and dressed in black. It was pretty fun until someone reminded me that I shouldn't have cross-dressed at a ward party. Oh well.

We had a great time at our ward party at our church on Friday and then on Saturday we celebrated Halloween by doing work for the dead--you can probably guess where we were. It was my first time in St. Louis and the temple was awesome.

AWESOME costumes! Love them!! And way to go on the binky. I'm constantly debating in my mind as to when I should take Reese's away. I think maybe I'll wait until after her birthday, but I don't know. She only uses it at bed time, in the car, and at church, but I think I need to get rid of it soon. Such a dilemma :)

You guys looked awesome! And I can't believe someone 'reminded' you that you shouldn't cross dress at a halloween party! A very conservative member of our bishopric dressed up as an 80's punk rocker including the zebra stretch pants and a long rocker wig. Our bishop dressed up as a "Greaser" or Danny Zucko, even with a small "box" under his shirt sleeve. I wouldn't worry!

The funny thing about this costume is that when I was younger we weren't allowed to watch "What About Bob?" because it drove my parents crazy. In their practices they dealt with patients similar to Bob so this movie was kind of out-lawed at our house. I hope my parents aren't offended at our costume choice! :)

I LOVE the costumes! We actually just watched that movie. Siggy in black is too cute. And your beard rocks. I wouldn't have thought twice about it seeing you at a ward party...except of course to say, "Well done!"
